Owlita....OH MY GOD

Tonight I discovered the most beautiful of websites that sell the most beautiful of earrings, this website my friends is www.owlita.com/about/. The founder and designer Ashley Doty is an artistic genius. The earrings she makes are fun, stunning and crazy. Full of fabulous feathers, these earrings look like coloured hair extensions, they are that huge! Upon finding the pair I want, I then began begging my mum to buy them for me for christmas. I can't buy them myself because I have made a pact with myself not to spend any money for 3 months cos I have spent wayyyy too much recently, wish me luck haha.

These are a few of my favourite pairs I'm in love with the colours of this pair, would be great for a party!
I don't know what these remind me of, but they make me think about sitting around a bonfire for some reason.
I love this blue, and I reckon they would look cool on me, but the only thing is that my hair is dark so they wouldn't be a very 'statement' piece
Simple black and white is always great, but I love COLOUR
These are just amaazing, that pinky red is just WOW, but they were a bit too expensive for my price range. But I'm still in love with them. I can just imagine wearing these with an all black punk rock outfit.
These here are the pair I want, they remind me of a tigers' fur, so they give me a wild jungle feeling. I would be eternally greatful to my mum if she gets me these for christmas, so fingers crossed!
Speaking of christmas, I think I might do a post soon on my christmas list of gifts I desire :)
Have a lovely week!!

McQueen, oh how I love thee...

When I first lay eyes on Alexander McQueens new collection, I nearly started salivating. Its a mixture of beautiful patterns, feathers galore, fitted bodices and royal flowing skirts. It gave me so much inspiration for my ball dress next year. I want to look different from the usual, disgusting stretch satin dress, I want to be original, dress in a way that people will remember. I want to try and make my own dress but I know thats gonna be difficult.

The September Issue

After seeing the documentary The September Issue I knew that I just had to buy the issue for this year. And this is it! I photograhed some of my favourite images to show you all.
I love the hair and I love the boots, this would be such a great simple outfit to wear out anyday.

The ads for Juicy Couture are full of crazyness and colour and great clothes. Everything looks so fun and vibrant!

A bit of criticism with this one, all jeans that have embellishment like this or flowery prints always remind me of clothes that a 10 year old would wear. But to say something good I love the colours of the shirt and I love the collar of the jacket.

I am absolutely in awe of this vest, its just incredible, there are simply no words to describe it, all I can say is that I want one!!

This image is so great, the message that fashion is art is fabulous. I love the hair of the model and the simple draping of the suit.

There is just something about these images that draws me to them everytime. The colouring and the painted silk are just so beautiful and feminine. I think the hair and fake eyelashes are funky and fun, it makes me wonder how I would look if I had hair like this.

The womans' entire outfit in this ad just makes me drool, the simple white tee, the grey baggy pants, and of course that jacket, that fur collar and draping, thats a piece I would be proud to have in my closet and wear.

Finally, an advertisement by Chanel, I absolutely love their new collection and all the fur pieces look like so much fun! I want a pair of those fluffy knee high boots that you can see on this website; http://www.chanel.com/fashion/11#11-fall-winter-2010-11-chanel-collection-21

Hope you all enjoy your week!

The most recent of purchases...

These are some items that I have brought over the past few months. I apologize for not wearing them myself but I get self concious posing infront of my mum plus this way is just easier for me haha. These are paint splattered denim shorts by Refuge that I bought from City Beach. I am in love with them and have been wearing them non stop. I was originally looking for some high waisted denim shorts but after seeing at least a hundred girls wearing them I thought I'd try to be different.

I finally found the perfect fitted blazer from Chicabooti after weeks of looking. I love it, I just need to be brave enough to wear it more!

This dress and amazing denim jacket are both from Supre. the dress is floaty and fun and full of colour which is exactly what I want to be wearing during spring! And this denim jacket is everything that I have been looking for, its so comfortable and lightweight!

I picked up this cute ruffle dress from Tree Of Life the other day especially for a cousins christening. I love a good black dress and the ruffles make it totally cute, another good thing is that it looks great on! The necklace I got from a friend and is from Diva.

I got this jumper/dress from Myer just the other day on a mass shopping spree with mum, even though the weather is warming up its quite thin so it will be perfect to wear on a night out!
The studded belt is by Billabong and is worn backwards.

I wore this shirt (from Myer) today and its so sexy and feminine, I absolutly love the open back and its so light and floaty. I bought this scarf from Sportsgirl after falling immeadiately in love with it because it reminds me of the scarves by Alexander McQueen.

Mum actually bought these for me (thanks mum!!) to go with my dress that I wore to my schools' dinner dance. They are my first monstrously tall heels and I managed to last about 2 hours in them before I had to take them off haha. But they are just a fabulous pair of shoes.

I bought these black sandals the other day to go with the black dress shown earlier. I originally had in mind a pair of sandals with slouchy fabric around the ankle, however I tried on a pair and they didn't quite look right so I settled for these, and I am so glad because they are so comfy and look great with everything!

Again, mum brought this leather jacket, from the mens section in Myer, for my little brother. Fortunately (for me!) it doesnt quite fit my bro, its a bit too big, so lucky me gets it for now. Its quite mannish, but it looks really great on, you have to trust me on this one! haha.

Finally! My nan gave me this faux fur shrug thing and its so amazingly soft and stylish, I have no idea what to wear it with and whether I'm going to be mobbed by the people around me for wearing it haha. If any of you have any tips of what to wear it with then maybe I might work up the courage to wear it out of the house instead of parading around my room haha.

I hope you guys all enjoy your week unlike myself who has to go back to school after 2 weeks of holidays. Greeaat.

Christian Dior

These are pictures from my current fave collection by the John Galliano for Christian Dior, his Haute Coture Autumn/Winter 2010. His garments resemble flowers, I read somewhere he was inspired by the garden he had when he was growing up...or something.

This is my favourite piece, its so beautiful and simple, and i just love dyed fabrics.

All photographs belong to the Christian Dior website, and I only borrowed them to show how much I love this collection.
